Jazz for the Masses V
On Wednesday, March 15th, the party moves to El Sapo Botanas y Burgers for NextBop.com's fifth installment of Jazz for the Masses, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will include local talent in NORI from Austin and The Whale from San Antonio, as well as internationally renowned artists, including trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. Produced by Anthony Dean-Harris of modern jazz radio show "The Line-Up" heard every Friday night at 9 p.m. on KRTU.
Music For Listeners Day Parties
Those familiar with the "Music For Listeners" program that airs every Friday night/Saturday morning from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on KRTU understand the institution that the show has become. Affectionately referred to as "MFL" and hosted by Michael Thomas and Orlando Torres, Music For Listeners is known for introducing new artists that represent a diversity of unique sounds, which is exactly what the two have done at the MFL Day Parties for the past eight years.
Marvel at the quality of local, national and international acts that you can experience at El Sapo Botanas y Burgers starting at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 through Saturday, March 18, like Froth from Los Angeles, Birthh from Italy, Las Kellies from Argentina, Cloud Castle Lake from Ireland, Darling West from Norway, Buttercup from San Antonio, and many more.
All events will be free to the public, with no wristband or rsvp required. KRTUesday is for only those at least 21 years of age and all day parties at El Sapo Botanas y Burgers are all ages.
