An important part of KRTU's work is showcasing the work of local musicians through events, on-air broadcasts, interviews, and archival recordings. Our work never ends as the San Antonio music scene is represented by a diverse depth of talented musicians.
In 2015, we released the "KRTU 2014 Live" album as a premium gift for our KRTU Members who make an annual contribution of $180 or more. This year, in anticipation of our Fall Membership Drive, October 21 - 28, we'll be releasing the second volume of live recordings of outstanding performances by local and regional musicians. All original compositions, each track has been engineered and produced in house by KRTU Operations Manager, Emilio Alvarez.
A preview of what you'll find on the album includes music from Bad Banjo Brown, recorded in KRTU's Studio B; The Regency Jazz Band, recorded during a live broadcast in Laurie Auditorium; and, The Adrian Ruiz Quartet, recorded at Sunday Jazz at the Witte.
