KRTU Receives $25,000 Gift from Santikos Foundation

On December 14, KRTU was notified of a $25,000 grant from the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation, a fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation. We are truly honored to be the recipient of this extraordinary gift, honoring the legacy of local cinema businessman and real estate entrepreneur John L. Santikos.

This gift will allow KRTU 91.7 FM to continue its growth and delivery of high quality jazz programming, radio education, and community outreach.

As Katherine C. Luber, PhD, The Kelso Director of the San Antonio Museum of Art articulated, “John Santikos' name endures as one that is synonymous with art, culture and community." KRTU is grateful that the San Antonio Area Foundation has chosen the station to be part of Mr. Santikos' legacy and vision.
