KRTU Hosts Present Jazz & Indie Day Parties in Austin

For the sixth and tenth year in a row, respectively, "The Line-Up" host Anthony Dean-Harris and "Music for Listeners" hosts Michael Thomas and Orlando Torres, will present a cadre of international talent during Jazz for the Masses and the Music for Listener Showcase - a 4-day series of unofficial day parties during the South by Southwest festival (SXSW) next week at Lazarus Brewing Company.

Co-presented NextBop.com, KRTU is proud to present Jazz for the Masses! On Wednesday, March 14th, jazz desends on the Eastside of Austin at Lazarus Brewing Company, a new venue for the event's sixth year. Produced by Anthony Dean-Harris of modern jazz radio show "The Line-Up" heard every Friday night at 9 p.m. on KRTU, (and with support from the "MFIL" host team), the event is free to the public.

Music For Listeners Showcase

Those familiar with the "Music For Listeners" program that airs every Friday night/Saturday morning from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on KRTU understand the institution that the show has become. Affectionately referred to as "MFL" and hosted by Michael Thomas and Orlando Torres, Music For Listeners is known for introducing new artists that represent a diversity of unique sounds, which is exactly what the two have done at the MFL Showcase for the past nine years.

The San Antonio based radio show Music For Listeners is excited to announce the news that we are returning to Austin, Texas for our tenth year of unofficial day parties, and our first with our new partners at Lazarus Brewing! We're looking forward to the amazing new venue, and we also would like to give a heartfelt 'thank you' to the El Chile Group for nine wonderful years together. We are super excited at this new start for us going forward with the fine people at Lazarus! - Michael Thomas
