This year, Trinity University is celebrating 150 years of service to the San Antonio community. Home of KRTU, Trinity University was founded in 1869, and 107 years later, KRTU 91.7 FM was born!
The founders of KRTU, and those who succeeded, created something special when they launched 91.7 FM on January 23, 1976. For over 40 years, KRTU has served San Antonio, remaining committed to the community, its artists and musicians, small businesses and non-profits.
With help from a few friends and some of our most dedicated supporters, KRTU has created a little something special this year to help bring awareness to 91.7 FM's role in the community. It truly takes a village to sustain a radio station like KRTU.
