ECM: The Most Beautiful Sound Next to Silence
ECM (Edition of Contemporary Music) Records was founded in 1969 by award-winning producer Manfred Eicher. The German label has documented a variety of styles but is best known for jazz. We'll hear music from Mal Waldron, Dave Holland, Keith Jarrett, Norma Winstone, Jack DeJohnette and many others while hearing why ECM's motto is "The Most Beautiful Sound Next to Silence."
